Flea Market Finds

My Nanna used to crochet coathanger covers, and give them out as part of our Christmas presents.

When my sister and I were idiot teens, we used to laugh behind her back, thinking they were lame.

I now know better, and cherish the ones she has made me. I also grab other ones from op shops whenever I stumble across them, and wonder whose Nannas made them, and if they too had ungrateful little shits as grandchildren.

I'm sorry Nanna. I will never doubt you again.

  2. my Mum did them for me too.. I think the worst part was they were always pink, and lilac, and aqua.. I finally convinced her to do some in red and black and EVERYONE LOVED them. And of course, now we are older and wiser, we KNOW how good they are for our precious clothes.♥

  4. oh I love knitted hangers! I found one ages ago -crochet like that with a knitted storks head over the hanger bit (thus making it more swan like) and a little plastic baby in a knitted basket hanging off! I like the yellow one the best, so pretty!
